  • Who can subscribe?
  • INSONA Author Alliance Network is FREE to all authors, editors, artists, illustrators, publishers and other independents who work in the self-publishing industry.
  • What does it cost?
  • There is no registration fee or other service charge to become a listed member. Additionally, INSONA does not collect any referral fee or commission to connect collaborators.
  • How do I create a project or list my services?
  • Login to your account and click on the "My Projects" tab. Select "Add New" from the Project Management menu, and fill in the required fields. Additionally, you can view your projects by scrolling the 'My Active Projects' list.
  • What is the difference between a project and a collaboration?
  • A project is a single item that you are working on toward completion of a work. There will usually be many projects required for each work (i.e.: editing, artwork, printing, etc.). Collaboration is a combined effort between you and someone else toward completion of a project.
  • Who can see my projects?
  • Project visibility is relative to your project status. Projects with a Status of: "New, Engaged, Completed, Inactive, or Cancelled" can only be seen by you. Projects with a Status of: "Post to Collaborators, Pending Review, or Approved" may be seen by any collaborator who performs services with the same 'Project Type' as your project.
  • Is my private information secure?
  • Yes. Notice that we do not ask for your Social Security or credit card number to register? Your identity is protected throughout the INSONA system; and your email is only given to potential collaborators, if you choose to share it with them.
  • How do I accept an offer from a collaborator?
  • Post a project. Collaborators will send email to you with a bid for their services to complete your project. You can review the collaborator's qualifications by clicking on 'Leads' next to the project description in your project list. If you elect to accept the collaborator offer, set the project status to "Accepted" which will allow the collaborator to review any counter offer or accept the assignment.
  • Is there an INSONA commission or royalty for colloborative connections?
  • No. There is no INSONA Author Alliance Network fee or commission.
  • Can I cancel my account at any time?
  • Yes. You have no obligation to INSONA. Additionally, there is no requirement for exclusivity with INSONA... you may list your projects or services with as many internet websites as you like.
